East End
The East End of Glasgow offers a mix of traditional Glasgow with cool neighbourhoods, great food and a sense of community. We look at neighbourhoods near the city centre - Dennistoun and the Barras - as well as the historic and festive Glasgow Green and a good reason to go a bit further east - alpacas! Lots to explore in the East End!
There is also a great selection restaurants to suit all tastes, Van Winkle BBQ grill, located at 267 Gallowgate, offers Kentucky inspired BBQ food with a great selection of drinks to help you relax and unwind. There is also St Lukes and The Winged Ox, located at 17 Bain Street inside a Grad B listed converted church to give it a unique atmosphere. They serve a selection of Scottish soul food, such as burgers, fish & chips, and much more.
In the Dennistoun area, there is Mesa, located on 567 Duke Street who offer a selection of Breakfast, lunch and brunch options that are suitable for all tastes, including vegetarian and vegans.
